HBO (Home Box Office) is an American cable TV network, property of WarnerMedia Entertainment, and the flagship of the national media company. The Network's programming is a mix of movies and innovative programming. You will get to see theatrically released motion pictures and original programs, including made-for-cable movies, series, and sports.

Broadcasting since November 8, 1972, HBO is the oldest, and longest, continuously operating subscription based television service in the United States. Early 2022, HBO had an estimated 48 million domestic viewers, including subscribers to HBO Max, Warner's most profitable business. Generating operating income of around 7.7 billion U.S. dollars from subscription revenue alone. HBO, including the HBO Max streaming service, now reaches 73.8 million global viewers as of the top of 2021.

Besides Netflix, HBO is the old king of pay-per-view content for almost 50 years now. The network currently operates seven 24-hour channels filled with high-quality original and licensed content. HBO GO launched in February 2010, as a video on demand TV service for HBO’s linear television subscribers. Only 5 years later, in April 2015, HBO stream started its streaming services, as a centerpiece of HBO Max, an expanded streaming platform that also includes separate programming and content from other HBO Media properties. The number of HBO and HBO Max customers climbed to almost 48 million in 2021. The HBO TV channels are not accessible on their streaming service, but continue to be available to existing subscribers of Pay TV providers, and to Apple and Amazon customers, through streaming partnerships with those companies.
